Shaq to join Celtics

18 Year NBA Veteran Center Shaquille O'Neal who played last season with the Cleveland Cavs is very close to joining the Boston Celtics on a veteran's minimum 1.35 million dollar deal.  Although Shaq is not as dominant as he was during his younger years he is still a good center that can muscle with big men on other contending teams like Dwight  Howard of the Magic and Andrew Bynum of the Lakers.  Last season while playing with LeBron, who bolted for Miami at seasons end, O'Neal averaged career lows in points and rebounds (12.0 ppg and 6.7 rpg respectively), but I believe this was a very good signing for the C's because this will really help bolster a frontcourt that recieved a huge blow with the loss of Kendric Perkins for the first few months of the season.  Hopefully Mr. O'Neal can be productive for Boston this season and show he still has it.
